its so weird .

seeing someone you saw alive, breathing, moving, talking, laughing, scolding
just lie there, perfectly peaceful, perfectly serene, perfectly at ease, perfect
all the pain she must be suffering, all the trials and tribulations in her life, the peaks and pits and in the same sentence the victories, the triumphs, over life, over death, seem not to matter with the closing of her Life
yet her Life carries within and without us, everyone she had touched, no matter how briefly, would take turns passing on the torch that is her Life, either in remembering suddenly of her or a solemn gathering in the future to honor her memory.
we will all carry on her life through ours, and even though the initial exuberance and zeal may fade, even though the torch might dim, it will carry on burning still, for the amount of people she had touched will ensure there will be someone somewhere in the world thinking about her every second, as seen from the throngs of family, friends, students, teachers, people from church, people from everywhere.
she might be no Mother Theresa, no Lincoln, no Plath.
but her torch will always be lighted, when so many others have faded
her Faith, her Devotion, to God, to people that know her, will ensure that.

the public and private moments we shared,

-zhi xian, joel and i waited with her for her cab to bring her home and ms thiang walked by saying how she'd "only left you alone for a while and you got guys surrounding you already!"
-studying Beyonce in J1
-for encouraging me to believe in Life, when i poured out my pain, never knowing how insignificant it was to her pain, in our letters to her

our private memories, our public memories.

i'm proud to say i was touched by her, even though i may not matter in her life, she matters in mine.
